New State Employment Support Program for Persons Forcibly Displaced from Karabakh

A State Employment Support Program is in place for persons forcibly displaced from Karabakh.

The Program consists of three components:

  • vocational training and employment;
  • work experience and employment;
  • vocational training, work experience, and employment.

First Component

Under the first component, vocational training for the beneficiary is organized for a period of up to 6 months. During this period, the beneficiary is provided with up to 50,000 AMD per month as reimbursement of tuition fees, as well as a scholarship of 50,000 AMD.

Upon completion of the training, an employment contract must be concluded between the employer and the beneficiary for a period of at least 3 months. In this case, the employer is provided with support of up to 50,000 AMD per month, for a period not exceeding 3 months, to reimburse the income tax and stamp duty calculated from the beneficiary’s salary, as well as the social payment where provided for by law.

Second Component

Under the second component, an employment contract is concluded between the employer and the employee for a period of at least 6 months. During the first 3 months, the beneficiary is provided with an opportunity to gain work experience, within the framework of which the employer receives compensation of 165,000 AMD per month for 3 months to cover the beneficiary’s salary.

Upon completion of the work experience with the employer, the employer is provided with support of up to 50,000 AMD per month, for a period not exceeding 3 months, to reimburse the income tax and stamp duty calculated from the beneficiary’s salary, as well as the social payment where provided for by law.

Third Component

Under the third component, vocational training for the beneficiary is organized for a period of up to 6 months. During this period, the beneficiary is provided with up to 50,000 AMD per month as reimbursement of tuition fees, as well as a scholarship of 50,000 AMD.

Upon Completion of the Training

An employment contract is concluded between the employer and the beneficiary for a period of at least 6 months. During the first 3 months, work experience is organized, within the framework of which the employer receives compensation of 165,000 AMD per month for 3 months to cover the beneficiary’s salary.

Upon completion of the work experience with the employer, the employer is provided with support of up to 50,000 AMD per month, for a period not exceeding 3 months, to reimburse the income tax and stamp duty calculated from the beneficiary’s salary, as well as the social payment where provided for by law.

If the employment contract concluded between the employer and the beneficiary is terminated before the expiration of the established period, the employer is obliged to reimburse the amount provided for the beneficiary’s scholarship/tuition fees or paid as salary.
