The Support Program for Individuals with outstanding loans is available for people with credit obligations whose total principal amount of all loans, as of the date of application, is less than 1 million AMD and whose loans have been classified as non-performing for at least three years.
The Program is available to individuals who have formal, registered, employment.
Borrowers who have non-performing loans with organizations undergoing liquidation may also become beneficiaries of the Program. Employees (service members) of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Security Service, and the Compulsory Enforcement Service may also benefit from the Program, if they meet the established conditions.
Applications submitted by employees of the Ministry of Defense who had already applied and were rejected on the grounds of not being employed will be reviewed automatically, and there is no need to submit a new application. Employees of the Compulsory Enforcement Service may apply after the relevant software is introduced.
The support will be provided in the amount of the income tax calculated on the beneficiary’s salary in relation to the loan and will be directed toward the repayment of the beneficiary’s non-performing loan obligation. The support will be provided for a maximum period of 24 months, starting from the first day of the month following the month in which the person is recognized as a beneficiary.
If recognized as a beneficiary, the amount deducted from the salary for loan servicing is expected to be set at 20% for a period of 24 months, instead of the currently established rate of up to 50%.
