Minister Arsen Torosyan had a meeting with ILO Director of the Bureau for Workers Activities Oliver Rօpke

Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan today met with Oliver Ropke, Director of the Bureau for Workers Activities of the International Labour Organization (ILO). The meeting was also attended by Elen Manaseryan, President of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia.
The parties discussed the development of tripartite social partnership in Armenia, ongoing efforts to strengthen social dialogue, as well as the planned amendments to the Law on Trade Unions.
Minister Arsen Torosyan emphasized the importance of continued cooperation with the ILO, noting that strengthening social dialogue and effectively implementing labor sector reforms are among the Ministry’s key priorities. In this context, the Minister highlighted the value of the ILO’s expert support, as well as the important role of trade unions in protecting workers’ rights and promoting effective social partnership.
Oliver Ropke highly appreciated the cooperation with Armenia and reaffirmed the ILO’s readiness to continue supporting the development of social partnership and the implementation of new joint initiatives.
